Quantum Theme

Welcome Quantum, our second Warp6 theme release! This new theme design comes with two style variations: A fancy dark version which uses bright colors combined with nice glow effects. And a more light version with subtle colors which fits perfect for business sites. The theme takes advantage of all the CSS3 goodies and also makes use of SVG images for gradients which offer great cross-browser support. Thanks to a little CSS3PIE magic it looks also great in all IEs.

Just a few days ago we released the first version of Widgetkit our next tool set for Joomla and WordPress. The Quantum theme shows all the new widgets in action like Slideshow, Lightbox, Spotlight and Twitter. All widgets make use of modern web technologies like HTML5 markup, CSS3 features and jQuery based JavaScripts. Widgetkit is also designed to work on iPads, iPhones and Android phones or tablets.

  • Available for Joomla 1.5, 1.6 and Wordpress
  • Choose from 2 styles (dark and light), 5 colors and 8 fonts
  • 2 mobile themes for dark and light styles
  • 4 module styles combinable with 4 badges and 6 icons
  • Enriched with CSS3 goodies and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
  • All Warp framework features are available

We have a Joomla 1.6 demo in the download section. It looks the same like the 1.5 demo. Yes, Quantum and Widgetkit have full RTL support :-)

Looks awesome, but how can I see a demo of the mobile theme version? I pulled it up on my iPhone 4 and it behaves very erratically...flashing and reseting. It appears to be related to the slideshow. Is there a way to demo the mobile versions?

Everything works nice for us on the iPhone. Try http://www.yootheme.com/demo/themes/joomla/2011/quantum/ for testing the mobile version.

Please switch to the desktop view on iPhone and you will see flashes & pops due to the Slideshow transitions.

Great theme by the way. :)

    Hallo

    Nice work, really.

I think there some issues with IE8. For example, the dropdown menu does not slide down. It just shows with no effect.

    Thanks

The Drop Down Effect was too slow in IE8 because we used CSS3PIE to make all the gradients, rounded corners, etc. work. That's why we disabled it.

When I saw Nano, I knew you have achieved the top through Warp6. I had then to become a member and a part of your unique community. Now with this outstanding work, you have outdone yourself.

I know that you make history now in showing what an open source can do. I just wish you that other would know the great work you do, and I wish you can manage to get resources so you can embark on the development of Zoo.

I will know charging my membership to the highest level available won't make a difference to you, but it is my way of saying thank you for the quality you demonstrate in just about everything you touch;the Yoo Concept...
  • My warmest congratulations, this is what I call a nice template! Just a suggestion / request you have entered the news articles using Joomla fuction and not the Zoo blog fuction. I saw there is it but there is no such elements as the square with the date near the title. It would be nice to see the zoo blog page graphically equivalent to the news joomla page that you used for the "news" in the homepage top menu. FOr the rest... it r0x!

Looks great, I like the dark theme, but also the fact that I have enough other choices.
However, when I assign a profile to a specific page I do not seem to be able to remove this assignment again.

Please explain how to do this.

Very nice theme, i may sign up to the club for this. I have a question, does the theme include more fonts such as Cufon or google?

And do you guys provide a nice login/register widget for WP by any chance?

Do you have any kind of timeline for any of the other tools? Or maybe an idea of which tools will have priority? Will the Gallery plugin be among the converted tools?

I love this template and the mobile version is incredible. One question, is the mobile version available in white and if not is making a white version a task that I could try myself ( less than average UI dev skills)?

You can not set a percentage width in the theme settings but of course you can do it in CSS.

Hello, you are the best team! the best themes, the best framework! Also it would be amazing if you modify dropdown menu a bit, to control how much items would be seen in each column

At the moment all menu items are splitted into colums and there is no posibility to put 3 items to the first column, one item to second, 5 items to third and so on...

Thanks and good luck! You are doing amazing things!

Congratulations! Great looking theme, future oriented Warp6/HTML5 technology.

I would need a theme which supports Drupal. Any plans/timeline? If it takes a while: Any instructions/hints how I can do this by myself using Warp6? I am using a YooTheme for my company web site for more than 3 years now, planning to migrate to up-to-date technology.

WidgetKit and Warp6 are great. Any chance of a text overlay for the Slideshow widget? It would be really helpful to be able to have text on each different image for each product/service that appears.

    This Theme is really awesome!!
My one question is of the smoothness of the transistioning.. it flashes a instant blank white page (flashlike) during transition.. if you really notice, this can get really annoying.. can this be corrected ? or is it just a result of the inherent design ? Is there a way to have a new page load without having the flashlike transition ? or is this just me ?

thanks.. and keep up great work.. the class of joomla templates is YOOOOOOO

This is a bug in the mobile version of webkit (iPhone and iPad). But this issue only happens on our demo server because we load the theme in an Iframe. Everything is working fine if it is not in our demo server Iframe. Take a look http://www.yootheme.com/demo/themes/joomla/2011/quantum/ to see Quantum without the demo server Iframe and that everything is working.

    Hey Guys,

How do I get to install the ZOO demo content on the Quantum Theme ?
I have installed the Quantum theme including the demo content and I don't want to start over with another joomla install, to just get the Zoo demo content to work !

Hope this makes sense and thanks for a quick reply !

    Oli
