if i have to give me honest opinion, i wouldnt say this theme is superb. The layout doesnt stand out, as in... nothing so special about the "Menu - Slider - Features column and so on"...

    I would give it 3.5 / 5 only :|

Still yootheme has done a very great job

    Many thanks team Yoo!

Love the desktop version. It appears that the mobile version is only available with the orange color scheme. Or am I missing something?

Humm, sorry guys, just not feeling this one. It's pretty and has cool HTML5 features, but I can't get past the menu. But this is just me, I'm sure it will be loved by many.

    Still though, I love Yootheme!!

agree, the menu stops me from using it. The ribbon looks out of place IMHO

I think its a good theme, god job!, BUT you have to innovate in Main menus!, almost all your themes are the same thing on this!, you need something fresh, at least use a different effect. Do not let your themes look the same thing.

These are mere suggestions, anyway I think Yootheme is still the best Template Provider in the market!

i congratulatio on the design - but as some of you have noted earlier - the main menu does not fit to the rest of the nicely designed template.

I don't like the colors and the menu doesnt suit to the design imho
I'll pass on this one and wait for next month.

I love the fact that you guys aren't afraid of bold color and that you always produce a very "clean" design.

That said however, its time you guys shake it up a bit (despite the grousing at change from the peanut gallery!) I can spot a yootheme template within 4 seconds of page load. Which means there is some great design out there but... I can do the same thing with JoomXTC, or GK temps too. Because no matter how slavishly we work them over that aesthetic still overpowers.

And what a great club should be know for is their framework and layout/typography. In the end we shouldn't have to wrestle the design away from you for our customization.

And before I get pig piled here, that is overall a compliment not a slam. They do tend to be stunning and complete. But it is also a consideration for me when I lay my money down. Do I want 3-6-12 months of temps that are immediately recognizable as having come from the same source? Or do I want that creativity aiding my own diversity? Do I want something that I have to struggle with to add my own touches?

Its up to us how we use it of course. But it is something to consider.

And please, retire the gold to fuschia gradient. It meant well... and was lovely once but its like the embarrassing aunt at the family reunion in her Hawaiian print moo moo. She was a looker once... no really... ask her!

Wow, exactly my thoughts. But still, I love this theme guys, I mean really love it. I just share Cassandra's thoughts; I do feel that last months theme and this one shows some enthusiasm for great design left and I'd love to see that move on to the next step.

      Great job, seriously.

I feel exactly the same. I've bought developer memberships with Yoo Theme for two years now but I'm debating on 2013. They all look the same to me. It could also be that Joomla and Wordpress are ruling the planet at the moment. Maybe I'm just looking for something totally different and I'm just not seeing it here.

I've also been looking for a nice photography template but haven't found one I like. All the photographers want flash based sites. Many of them will not consider Joomla and I can't really blame them.

I always laugh when I read comments about how a theme can't be used for "business".

A "business" website doesn't need to follow a corporate theme all the time, and there are plenty of businesses out there who could easily use a template like this.

Use your imagination a bit people and don't follow the crowd !

I completely agree. I spend more time trying to convince companies NOT to look like the herd than I do with design.

You can tell by the big bloody mark on my forehead that matches the one on my wall!

The diversity shown over the last 6 months is actually very good. just flick through the styles on the demo's - huge differences in styles. I like June 2012 very much, but even if I didn't, there is enough variety in the 'back catalogue' that can be customised. Surely we aren't expecting the Yoo guys and girls to do it all for us are we?

When will the Warp Framework allow us to mix and match themes? Like a module from Revista and a module from Pure and one from Steam all on the same page...mixed with a top menu from Inspire? That kind of thing. Is Joomla the problem?
    • zach

      zach

      | Profile |
Hi - no I wouldn't say Joomla is the problem at all. Yootheme uses the same framework on their latest themes, which actually makes a lot of the beginning markup very similar - so, I wouldn't say it's impossible at all to mix and match styles between themes, but you'll need to go on this venture on your own as it'll involve copying over CSS/images from the other theme. http://getfirebug.com will be your friend here. Thanks!

Love this theme, we are running it in black and it looks great with the product we are selling.
Sadly the Steam theme crashes new iPad, iPad mini and some android devices.
We are holding out for the yootheme team to fix it because we love the look so much.
