Solar Theme

This April we have a little easter egg for you in store, our new release Solar! This beautiful and innovative theme comes with an original way of arranging blog articles. We implemented Grid-a-Licious, which enables you to arrange your posts in a completely fluid layout. Featured images are placed on top of the title and benefit from the whole article width.

Enhance your website with an eye-catching header effect. Just set the header fixed to hide it with a cool scroll effect. The main menu is attached to the top of the site. Each section can be set separately to a width of up to 100%, so that your site can benefit from the whole screen resolution. All these features as well as the bonus styles we provide for the Widgetkit slideshow and Spotlight will help you to create a beautiful and unique website.

All in all Solar comes with 9 color variations, 5 textures, 9 fonts and 3 module styles, which can be combined with 4 badges and 6 icons. Like all our Warp6 framework based themes it is available for Joomla and WordPress and uses modern web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and features a fully responsive layout to make it look great on desktops, tablets and phones.

  • Available for Joomla and WordPress
  • Responsive theme, optimized for touch devices
  • 8 style variations and 5 textures available
  • Choose from 9 colors and 9 fonts
  • 3 module styles combinable with 4 badges and 6 icons
  • Custom widgetkit styles for slideshow and spotlight
  • All Warp framework features are available

Grid-A-Licious seems a little Hit-and-Miss in IE 9...but then what doesn't in IE? Have to keep reclicking Logo to get Grid Layout. Like all the nice extras, though.

    Nice one indeed.

Only... why isn't Linkedin not included in the social icons??

The menu is really flickery in Safari on my MacBook. Looks fine in Firefox though.

Really like the way that scrolling down the Featured articles in Grid View scrolls up over the banner, but not the menu....so you still get the scrolling effect without having to lose your navigation, or having to put navigation at the bottom of the page, too.

Nice Theme, a great work, but please when you will start to customize the responsive menu, could be a nice addition that yours could add an menu icon instead the home and the submenu could have a nice css class

Just my opinion, personally I don't like it, too me it seems rushed and as liliana.chuchuline seems very minimalist.

Doesn't seem like this theme could be used with many projects. With the recently released 'Showcase' theme, this seems to follow suite and for me, nothing exciting, no wow factor. OK the menu isn't half bad, that's about it.

As I said just my opinion, others may love it.

    Hi Yoo,

I want to thank you for this template and despite all negative opinions I think that Solar is one of your best works so far. Very clean and modern, this is what I was hopping for this month :)
Love the grid layout, color variations, main menu, modules...Great job!

This last 3 months i find that your team is doing a really good graphic search job. So you have graphics AND techs now... Keep going on... Next step ?

Old themes are much more beautiful than the last 3! Typography does not change and is not more extensive, even becoming poorer.

Old templates refreshed. Nothing new. It lacks the WOW effect.
Barely legible fonts. These are rather ad pages for WidgetKit.
Where the former are YOO design ideas as the sides differed significantly from competitors.

I like it but I’m hungry. What about – if you have the energy to maintain this quality – to offer premium accounts for 2 templates a month?

Honestly guys, you have some really knockout themes... but this one doesn't cut it.

It seems very rushed and you have not updated your Typography in ages. Warp framework remains one of the best and that's what's holding Yootheme apart from the crowd. But PLEASE try to make April a strong month to get a great template out for May.

Please replace the responsive list box style of the main menu.
That list box style is so out-of-date.

    I liked the fixed top-a

and I like how it is smart that when you zoom (ctrl +) on you browser and the botton of it is cut off because top-a is too big, it does keep it fixed allowing you to scroll down and read the whole thing.

I never used shape5 templates but on their similar template, it doesn't do that

so thanks Yoootheme for thinking of that quirky thing
