Our newest product ZOO was well received by the Joomla community, so we think it's time to celebrate the pleasant outcome of a year's worth of work with you! On May 27th, 2009, we are going to have our first YOOtheme event ever: We are really excited to invite you to our ZOO presentation in Hamburg, Germany. The event will begin at 19:00 (Central European Summer Time). The rough agenda is that first we will present the power of the ZOO and its true CCK functionality and show you how everything works. We will structure the presentation to be informative for both people who haven't used the ZOO yet and experienced developers. After the presentation we are planning on having a lively discussion amongst the participants. The presentation and discussion will be held in German. Of course, all YOOtheme developers and designers will be there. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Thank you so much for all the photos you sent us! We are still surprised to see that your photos came from all over the world, this is so cool! So it was really hard for us to pick the ten winners. We especially want to highlight one thing here: There is this one guy, Ben, who made our PDF into a huge billboard and took his family on a trip to take pictures of himself with that thing. It has been two and a half weeks since the ZOO release and we have over 5700 downloads of the Lite Edition. We are glad to see more and more reviews, news articles and Twitter discussions going on about our ZOO extension. Also, the term CCK is a hot and intensely discussed topic and we would like to share our view on some points and answer some questions here.

Yay, it's getting spring! The birds are back tweeting the nights away and people are getting in shape for the summer. And because nothing tastes better than thin we also sent our April template to a slimming cure: Tweety steps into the shoes of our popular MEE template. We created it in MEE's slim style, but of course Tweety comes with all the sophistication of our 2009 templates. With Tweety you get more than 10 beautifully designed background images, a smoothly animated tabbed menu and 16 (!) module variations. A true novelty is the origami-style module that looks like it's wrapped around the website.

It's been 3 days after the ZOO release and we are overwhelmed by the positive feedback we are getting for the new ZOO extension. Thank you guys! Over 1900 people downloaded the free Lite Edition already. We got a lot of feedback in our forum and already fixed some bugs which sneaked into the final release. If you have any issues running ZOO make sure you use the latest ZOO version 1.0.2. To update an older release take a look at the update instructions on our documentation page.

Yesterday was a big day for us. We released our work of the last 9 months to the public. We want to thank everybody for the nice feedback we received via twitter, email, comments and the forum! Some bugs were reported and we already fixed them. The Pro and the Lite Edition are both updated to 1.0.1 and are now available to download.

In the next weeks we will be working on more documentation and also publish more tutorials about the template system. Including an advanced guide on how to use the full power of the ZOO Editions. First of all we are a little surprised by all the buzz in our comments of our latest article about the ZOO licenses. This is the first time that we release an extension that big like ZOO and it was somehow obvious for us that the ZOO extensions will be a YOOtheme product of its own along with its own website and subscription model.
