These terms of use apply to all YOOtheme memberships. This includes the template memberships as well as the extension memberships. YOOtheme grants you a non-exclusive limited license to use products sold on the YOOtheme website in accordance with the following terms and conditions.
1. Memberships
YOOtheme products are available through different memberships. Each membership includes specific numbers of licenses for specific products. Each license gives you the right to use the product on one site. Site means Joomla Installation and NOT domain. It is not permitted to use our products on more than the allowed sites. Please make sure that you only use the permitted number, so if you have more sites using our products you must remove them on the other sites. It is required to register all sites using YOOtheme templates on the "site list" page in the member area.
The licenses are not time-limited, so you may continue to use the chosen product even after the date your membership expires. During the membership duration you have access to forum support and updates of your chosen products.
1.1. Template membership
The Silver membership includes 1 template license and a duration of 3 months.
The Gold membership includes 3 template licenses and a duration of 12 months.
The Platinum membership includes unlimited template licenses and a duration of 12 months.
1.2. ZOO membership
The ZOO membership includes unlimited app licenses and a duration of 6 months.
2. License
2.1. Ownership
Any YOOtheme products modified or unmodified are not your property. You do not own them. They are property of YOOtheme.
2.2. Unauthorized use
It is not permitted to put our products in a modified or changed or even unmodified version on a disk, website, P2P or any other medium and use it for resale purposes. This means you are not allowed to set up our products for demonstration purposes to promote them to your customers. It is also not allowed to use screenshots of our product to promote them to your customers for resale purposes. Should you intend to do so you have to discuss and agree upon this with YOOtheme in any case.
2.3. Unlimited licenses
If a membership grants you unlimited licenses of a YOOtheme product you are allowed to use the product in all your client projects but it does NOT allow the redistribution of the product in any form. Using a YOOtheme product for your client projects is only granted if you primarily sell your service to your client and not the product itself. If you wish to continue the usage of the product for new clients you need to renew your membership after the existing membership has expired.
2.4. Modifications
You are allowed to make any changes and modifications in the templates or products to suit your needs. It is not permitted to change or remove the copyright information in the source code. This includes the XML descriptor file and all PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS files distributed with our products. Of course, any visual copyrights, for example the copyrights in the template footer, can be removed.
However, you are not allowed to resale or redistribute these changes and modifications as GPL or other licenses. It is strictly prohibited to port YOOtheme templates and templates included in our extensions to other platforms and content management systems.
2.5. Assignability
It is not allowed to sub-license, assign, or transfer your licenses to anyone.
2.6. Demo Content
Re-use of any graphics, icons or photos from the demo content for any purpose is strictly prohibited. The demo content is for demonstration purposes only.
3. Product Delivery
As soon as you have carried out payment and we can acknowledge receipt of the money, we will email you your membership information. In case you have not received an email from YOOtheme within 24 hours, please contact us by sending an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will resend you the login details manually. After receiving our email with your account details you have immediate access to our member area. The email address you give should be valid as we will use it to contact you. We therefore recommend to use your company's email address. Note: Your order can be pending for manual antifraud check up from Paypal.
4. Support
We provide technical support for YOOtheme products only in our support forum in the member area and NOT by email. We also do NOT offer any support for customizations. Nevertheless many members of the YOOtheme community will help you with the installation, modification or administration of our products. YOOtheme does not monitor this forum but we do our best to answer your questions.
5. Refund Policy
Since YOOtheme is offering non-tangible irrevocable software products please contact us describing your situation and reason for refund requests. If mutual agreement cannot be reached regarding your issues, in this case a refund will be provided.
6. Privacy Policy
Any information submitted by the buyer will be used solely for the purpose of completing the transaction, delivering the product, informing about new product releases and addressing any customer service issues.
7. Warranty
YOOtheme gives no warranty or guarantee for our templates and extensions in any manner. Browser compatibility should be tested viewing the demonstration installations on the demo sites. Please ensure that your browser works with the template. We cannot give you the guarantee that the products will work with all third party extensions. Please be aware of that. We guarantee that all our templates work with the current version of Joomla. We cannot guarantee though that they will work with future versions of Joomla. Also, YOOtheme products will always be developed for the latest Joomla version. We cannot guarantee how long phase-out Joomla versions are supported. This decision is solely made by YOOtheme.
8. Terms & Conditions
YOOtheme reserves the right to change or modify current Terms Of Use at any time with no prior notice. Therefore, we encourage you to review changes to our privacy policy every time you visit this website. Further, YOOtheme reserves the right to modify or discontinue any portion of the membership. YOOtheme shall not be liable to you or any third party should YOOtheme exercise its right to modify, suspend, limit or discontinue any feature of the membership.
