Social icons doesn't always appear in articles?!

I enabled, in the backend template manager, the display of both the Facebook and Twitter buttons.

But...

These buttons don't show up in all articles, but just in some ?!

Maybe you will take a look here

If you click on the main-menu item 'Activiteiten' you will see the articles in blog format and are the enabled buttons displayed. So, that's ok ;-)

But when you click the submenu items: 'Gastlessen Groevenbeek' or 'Vrijwilligersdag 2011' the buttons are not displayed. ???
When you click the (first) submenu item: 'Netwerkborrel' the buttons are displayed ????!

What could be (gone/done) wrong ??

Please help.

Best Regards,

Nico

AFAIK the social buttons only show up if there's no menu item assigned directly to the article.

As I see this question remains unanswered. Would be nice to get some kind of more informative feedback on this issue, could we get some more useful detail? Should we use 3rd party components or will this be fixed in next release?

Found another thread where Yootheme says this is limitation.
Apparently this feature does only work in blog style, not in common articles...

I would love to see such limitations well comunicated within the template. Would save so much time...

Will this be fixed in next release?

Hmm.. "display is very limited at the moment with the Social Buttons"

Can you please explain further?

In my case on Radiance the buttons did not appear AT ALL and same on other theme I just tested... Where can I read about these limitations (and their workarounds or other recomendations)?

Ok, this reply should be predictable ;-) ?!

When will this issue be solved? And... Is there a workaround available?

I, or probably we, need these social media features.

You are not doing anything wrong, the display is very limited at the moment with the Social Buttons.
