Login prompt for Zoo items set to 'Registered'

Hello,

When a Zoo item is set to access level 'registered', and user tries to access it (or reloads a page after their session has expired, or if someone else shares a link to this page), s/he will be presented with a 500 error. Instead, should there not be a login prompt? This is otherwise very poor for usability.

This is also true for any item where the ACL is set above public. There should be a login prompt with return URL to the requested item.

Thanks Steffan,

I appreciate you considering this for an otherwise awesome component (but you know that already ;)

Agreed... I too would like to see this added...

I have a similar situation, if I choose one of my elements to be restricted to registered users only and assign that element to a layout (e.g. full layout), when a non-logged-in user selects the full layout view of any item, they are prompted to log in. I would have thought that this restriction of permissions would simply "hide" any element where the users profile did not have sufficient privileges however, it appears to block access to the entire item.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

this will be included with ZOO 2.5.18.

@rikki: this is not about the elements. The elements simply won't show, if you don't have the correct access level.

Regards,
Jan
