Video tutorial from scratch
It would be great if we had some video tutorials on how to customize a theme

+1 if yootheme provide video tutorial
Hi Bob,
Why no video tutorials? In my opinion it's a missed chance - I bet it even boosts the sales of Yootheme products!
I'm a long time member and one of the initial reasons I went with Yoo is they had Video tutorials for almost everything, it was great!
You think their bandwidth bill is expensive now wait till videos hit it. I wouldn't trust the videos to youtube or vimeo either. They are a company who can change their minds and you might not like the changes. Here is an opportunity for some one to open a website and handle all their support for them.....offer paid subscriptions and you give all support, information, and tutorials.....but who is brave enough or crazy enough to do that....AIN'T ME
This is a good question !
The YOOTheme could provide video tutorials for customize, just not themes, but all the things in YOOTheme! Like Warp, Widgetkit, etc.
I like the ideia.
Best regards
As members we could always set up a tutorial site maybe with jomsocial and then members could post videos on
how to set up templates use zoo to its full extent ect.

Kevin is right. I think videos about theme customizing is a bad choice. There is plenty of videos on the web. I think if YOOtheme wants to do this, they should focus on Warp, Widgetkit and ZOO video tutorials. This is something you do not find on the internet. Warp has great potential, but for more advanced topics you're on your own. Tutorials or tips and tricks would be awesome.
There are a number of sites with video tutorials on how to customize a php template. I recommend www.lynda.com and browse the web design and then the php sections. There is nothing out of the ordinary with YooTheme templates that anyone with skills in web design cannot overcome. With the help of Firefox and Firebug you can identify what is doing what on the page and then use your favorite editor to make the changes that you need.
Not to mention a solid understanding of Joomla templating is going to prove essential in knowing how to do this. For the Yoo Team to do this sort of thing would mean that we would be paying a great deal more for this club than is necessary. If you need help in this area I recommend looking to the resources available of enroll in a community college to bring you up to speed with how to design websites!
