Yootheme themes not compatible with captcha for Zoo comments?

Hi,

I was testing the Zoo comment system at my production site , and found that reCaptcha is not seen in the Zoo comments form. I am using Joomla! 2.5.4, Zoo 2.5.19 and Subway theme. Captcha plugin is correctly set up with both public and private reCaptcha keys, reCaptcha is enabled at both Global Configuration and Zoo Comments config. reCaptcha works at user registration.

As I have many 3rd party plugins installed, I did a fresh installation of Joomla! 2.5.4 and Zoo 2.5.19 in order to discard possible incompatibilities. With this vanilla setup, reCaptcha is shown as intended.

BUT when I install any Yootheme theme (I tried Subway, Steam, Master and Vanilla) , reCaptcha is not shown. I checked with Firebug and the <div class="captcha"> is empty. If I go back to the default theme, the div has the expected code.

As far as I can tell, this seems to be Yootheme theme related. Are you aware of such incompatibilities? If so, any solution / advice? I read that it is possible to use Akismet / Mollom but I rather not as I am using reCaptcha in other sections of the site and I don't want to confuse users.

I am sending admin credentials for my test site if you wish to check. As stated above, my setup (both test and production) is
Joomla! 2.5.4
Zoo 2.5.19
PHP 5.2.11
+ Freshly downloaded themes from your site.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice, sandstorm871! Will check this for sure.

Anyway, does not the current situation conflict with Zoo's changelog, which states "2.5.18 / + added Captcha support to submissions/comments (Joomla 2.5)"?

Its getting worse with all the comments that people post. When we pay for a developer licence and install a great component but clients keep getting spam comments - I don't see why we should once again pay for an addition plugin when this is a key feature of the zoo component - why cant yootheme incorporate a captcha into the comments system as part of the component.

Only if i activate the comments in ZOO my mail is fully SPAMMED.

With other comments (blog, K2...) doesn´t appear any SPAM.

Why ?? Only to BUY another module of yooXXXX company??

This service it´s not professional.

I just found out that reCaptcha works as expected with submissions in my test site using Yootheme themes - so it's just comments that's not working with them. Any ideas?
