Nano2 doesn't resize properly on iPad3 when flipped from vertical to horizontal

Nano2 works great on iPad3 EXCEPT when flipping from vertical (portrait) to horizontal (landscape). Page does not resize (Warp 6.1 does it correctly) to the new aspect ratio.

With our latest Warp 6.2.1 Update we added a fix for the orientation change bug on iPhone and iPad when flipping from portrait to landscape. https://github.com/scottjehl/iOS-Orientationchange-Fix This bug happens on devices with iOS 5 or lower. However the upcoming iOS 6 update has resolved this bug and no fixing is needed anymore.

Yes I'm seeing the same on my iPad2, I'll report this to the developers for a fix.
Thanks for reporting.

Why do you say there is no proper fix when Warp 6.1 templates work correctly and 6.2 don't?

Let’s summarize… ;-)

There is at least one problem with the responsiveness of this template in combination with the iPad.
Right now there is no proper fix or JavaScript API available.

This is what we know/experienced so far...

No need anymore to repeat that/why this bug exists.

But... We like to know if this bug can be fixed (I think so) and then when it will be fixed!

Definitely some of us like to know how it is, or will be, fixed.

Am I wrong?

I can't tell from this post whether this ipad portrait issue is going to get fixed or not :-) ?

In addition, Im wondering why the option to just take control over the mobile version via mobile menu, widgets/modules, etc has been completely taken away. I understand that, in theory, a responsive template/theme would alleviate the need, but many times making a mobile friendly version of a site is more than just a system of auto-shrinking images, and sliding widget positions. You need more control over how the final display and content actually is for a mobile phone.

Im hoping that this "responsive" theme making (that completely takes away the option to assign different content altogether for mobile) is NOT the future of yootheme themes. I would like the option to not only turn off the responsive, but also then fall back to the previous ability to assign different content to menus, pages, widgets etc for mobile.

Thanks guys

This is because of the viewport width, which changes when you switch from portrait to landscape. The following meta tag adds this behavior to make the responsive theme layout work.

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

This only happens when switching from a smaller to a larger view because the current zoom/scale is kept. However right now there is no proper fix or JavaScript API available to fix this behavior.

WARP 6.6 is not responsive, that's why :) have you tried disabling the responsive feature in the theme settings if you want the behaviour of WARP6.1 ?

One should be able to disable the responsive feature JUST for iPad... But even so the problem persist in ANY iOS device

Can someone tell me if this is going to be fixed in an update? Love the template look, but it's not truly responsive. I have to make a decision about whether or not to use one of two other templates because they are responsive in all cases and orientations. I'm happy to provide the details if you would like to study them.
