margin after logo issue - Google Chrome

Greetings:

I've decided to switch themes after 2 years now on one of my sites from VOX to Sphere. For the time being I'm working in localhost to get it all sorted out and make sure the graphics will translate well.

It's fine in Firefox or IE. However in Google Chrome, the margin below the logo is not recognized and the menu squashes up into the logo. I altered the CSS margins, which of course will fix it. But then in Firefox or IE it has far too much space, so this does not seem like a good answer. Is there another way to deal with this, or is this just a chrome issue that is not so workable?

There are no Chrome issues, Its hard to say what your issue could be without looking at the site, but have a look at the width and height of the logo , is it defined in the logo image tag correctly or also in the templates CSS files ?

Could you tell me what CSS files this would be in and what it's labelled as? I have not used this new version of Warp yet at all, and it's quite different I am finding in several ways, but am getting used to it.

I'm using the Logo module position and it seems fine generally....except for Chrome. Being a lot of people use it, I'd prefer it look good in Chrome too.

Better yet...could you tell me what file / where to edit so that I can move the entire body down? That should solve it for certain, but I was not finding that.

I'm using localhost until I know that all the custom graphics will modify and translate well to this new theme. Not that all browsers with the exception of Chrome seem to look like the Firefox screenshot and are fine.

I took some screenshots however, which should work just as well. This shows the issue precisely.

This may show the symptom but not the cause.

It is impossible to venture a reliable suggestion without the opportunity to take a look at the source. Having others guessing - and then actually voting a very reasonable suggestion down - is simply wasting their precious time. I consider this attitude as being outright offensive. But that is my personal view, of course.

If you want help then please put this site on an accessible server. If you fear nosy competitiors you may easily secure it with an .htaccess rule.

Then click Edit for your initial question and use Add hidden information to provide the URL and access data. This information will only be visible to the YOOtheme support team.

Thank you

I'm sorry you consider my question downright offensive. I understand your point about the symptom, but certainly didn't mean it to be offensive at all. I've worked in various avenues of tech for far long enough to also know when to pull away from things and also keep perspective. Such as taking offense to such things. I also didn't intentionally vote Mustaq's answer down (just for the record). I was only trying to reply to that one, and it automatically voted down. Though I see now that I can undo that...so I will. I have not had the need to yet use this new support system, so I didn't really know how the voting system worked in it.

The reason it's not online yet, is I have several custom graphics that have to be edited and re-edited in Photoshop until it's correct - and it's very time consuming. Localhost allows this to be much easier and more streamlined. So having it online yet, quite simply is not an option. I have no competitors, do not sell anything, and do not fear nosy anybody stealing anything from me. Perhaps you've become jaded, arrogant or assuming. But that is my personal view of course. But I understand well that support forums are an irritant....the same type of people asking the same stuff over and over and over again while never actually trying anything on their own. Just don't throw everyone in the same category.
On a sidenote about basic humans relation Michael...might I point out that you are representing YOOtheme as a company. In my total time of being a member here I think I've posted all of 4 or 5 times with simple little things, with quick simple responses. Most anything I needed I figured out on my own. So how much time have I really wasted of anyones? Not much. Such a kneejerk response from you looks bad on YOOtheme as a company. And it makes me wonder about continuing to constantly praise you guys and why they should sign up. From my clearly limited experience to dealing with any of you personally, except for this now....it's obviously not for the great community of people. Your tools however, are top notch.

Anyhow, as I do not wish to "offend anyone" or "waste anyone's precious time" by any means - it would be my preference to choose mustaq's answer as the most helpful and simply close this one. If I don't figure it out before it goes online, I will ask again when it's online and can be shared.

I've just switched a site to sphere and, having read this post, checked it out in Chrome and there seem to be no issues with my own menu.

"Having others guessing - and then actually voting a very reasonable suggestion down - is simply wasting their precious time. I consider this attitude as being outright offensive. But that is my personal view, of course."

Michael it isn't actually an attitude it's a behaviour. They're very different things. I'm guessing the real waste of your time is making the move from observed behaviour to hallucinated attitude and then on to personal judgement (of your own hallucination) and beyond. Why give yourself such a rough time?

It's pretty clear when somone posts a picture thinking that's as good as site access that they're a novice (even to me - another novice) and perhaps would benefit more from some understanding and patience than they ever possible can from a meta-commentary on what you consider their atttudes to be / should be.
