"It works if you set error Reporting to None under Site->Global configuration->server"

This solution does work, but seriously... this problem was reported last August and hasn't been addressed yet? I don't use IE9 personally other than to cross-browser check design, but my clients use it.

This suggestion didn't work for me either. Several of my clients use IE so this causes a problem for them.

Please YOO, could you at least reply?

I too am having real issues with Widgetkit in IE, most of the modules just dont work in Joomla 1.5.

It appears that the YOO support just dont answer this one!!! perhaps they cant?

This didn't work for me... I have a gallery to display like a slideset, but it only shows one picture in IE9 compared with the five I specified which work fine in Chrome and Firefox (at http://www.lovingyourwork.org/pipnjay2012 ) I'll try asking a fresh, specific question about this.

UPDATE: in my case, I just realised I had compatibility view enabled on IE9 (it's a very subtle difference in colour on the torn up page icon in the address bar). Turning that off made it all work fine. It's scary how many things didn't work in older versions of IE...

This is bug is fixed in the latest Widgetkit 1.1 release. Please update and the Gallery administration should work in IE9.

I had the same problem.

my solution was to install the simplify your web plugin to load jquery 1.7.3 instead.

make sure you don't touch the default for checking duplicate loading or the plugin won't work.

just select jquery and v1.7(latest)

Please, i am using the version 1.2.2 , joomla 2.5.7 and widgetkit not working in IE 9. I need a solution.

I am using Widgetkit 1.2.2. My widgetkit slideshows still did not appear in IE 9 unless "Compatibility View" is forced. Firefox was no problem. I already configured error reporting to none, as suggested earlier. No change.

I followed Kurt Dorne's advice above. I simply installed Jquery Easy, set the plugin as Kurt recommended, and enabled the plugin. Viola!!! Fixed.
